Pryor Mountian Wild horse range

I got up there later than I wanted to,  but it was still a great get a way.  The road is much worse this year than last probably because of spring rains washing away all the dirt leaving exposed sharp rocks. They have tried to fix some of the major ruts with a super soft sandy dirt but when you drive over it you sink into it causing an incredible dust storm around you.  And since I was in the little jeepie, I was completely covered with dirt by my end of the day.
They fenced off the range and added a huge gate so that the horses couldn't roam as much, which sucks.  I didn't see as many as I did last year and not as many foals that is for sure but they did that whole contraception thing last year after the round up so that would explain that.  By the time I got up there they were all ready for a nap and since my rule for heading home is either a 1/2 tank of fuel or 4pm, I actually had to start heading home at 230.. With the road being super bad I used more fuel getting up here than I usually do. plus it took almost 5 hours instead of my usual 4.
